Welcome.

Staying connected as church planters is crucial to seeing the redemptive reign of God permeate the city of Boston. Ralph Kee (from the Emmanuel Gospel Center) asked me, Steve Holt, to set up this blog as a continual "meeting place" for those who are participating with God in His redemptive work in Boston. We hope this blog can serve as a bulletin board, place for dialogue, strategy room, prayer wall, and connector for Christian leaders in and around Boston. What if church planters in Boston were so unified, so cohesive, so prayerful that the collective purpose was to eventually see a vibrant family of Jesus Christ in close reach -- culturally and geographically -- of every person in Boston?

Please leave a comment below introducing yourself and your role in the story of God in Boston.

"The harvest is so great, but the workers are so few. Pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest, and ask him to send out more workers for his fields." - Luke 10:2

My wife and I will be relocating to the Boston area in June to begin relationships with people that (hopefully) result in the planting of simple/house churches. You can read more about our vision at our blog, HarvestBoston.net.

We've met most of you face to face and can't wait to work alongside you beginning this summer.

Peace.

Tim Hawkins checking in. Thanks Steve for heading this up. My family currently lives near Inman Square and we are heading up a citywide collegiate ministry in Boston. We are trying to rethink how collegiate ministry is staffed, structured and connected in a multi-campus urban center. We are also excited to work alonside the Boston Partnership church plant, and recently have enjoyed participating with Mosaic Boston a church plant also in the Fenway area.

Hi, I'm Mark. My wife and I have been in pastoral ministry for about 20 years (five of which were planting in Jamaica Plain). It's pretty amazing that we have points of connection with some of you already... like Danny and his family, we live in Haverhill. And like Jeff and his gang, our heart is for house churching... (with a particular focus of reaching those damaged by life and by the church.)

I look forward to connecting with you all at some point. I think that this will be a great forum!

Big Blessings to you all!

Great to hear that God is doing so much in our city. I am pastor of The Church at the Gate with TJ (see above comment). We are located in the Audubon Circle community right at the back door of Boston University.

I hope to hear more from all of you as we begin this dialogue.
