first connecting questions

Please take a moment to introduce yourself (if you haven't already) in the comments on the post below. Having an idea of who is reading/participating will help shape our future conversations.

Here's our first set of conversation questions: What work of God do you hope to see in Boston? What is the connection between "individual ministries" and the collective working of God and His people throughout Boston? How might connecting mission-minded Christians partner with and further the work of God in metro Boston? How do you envision the GBCPC blog contributing to this end?

Friends,
· That as a collective body of believers throughout the greater Boston region, we would have an increase of unity in the Spirit of God, established by the truth of the Word of God, centered on the objective finished active and passive work of Jesus Christ, the Son of God - beginning, continuing and culminating to the Glory of God.
· That God would bless us with a recapturing of His glory – His Sovereignty, Greatness, Holiness, Beauty, Value and Satisfaction. In this, I mean a fresh comprehension, a renewed taste both of Divine Justice and Divine Mercy. The former devastating our pride and self-righteousness as we see ourselves as He truly sees us and for what we truly are...our smallness, weakness, frailty and sin. The latter melting our hearts at the sight of the love of God in Christ, who loved us and gave Himself for us, thus causing us to exult in the greatest reality in all of reality, namely God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit! God creating among us serious joy! That the manifestations of God’s Presence among us will lead to significant impact in all area of life and throughout all communities of New England.
· The GBCPC blog could be a useful tool for truthful, humble, thoughtful and sensitive dialogue / discussion, networking, study, prayer and action so that the Name of Jesus Christ would be reverenced, worshipped and enjoyed throughout our region. May God bless us, our children and our children's children to come...

This is my hearts cry…
Danny

I would like to see a simple, straight-forward resource of practical, best-practices format established for bench-marking churches and church plants from a "biblical" standpoint.

What's worked, what hasn't and why.

Focus could be on how one is able to reach emerging cultures, developing heathly attitudes towards ministry and missions outreach and overall church health.

Re-establish an environment and church platform in New England that celebrates our strong Spiritual heritage and sense of community. One that would encourage ourselves and outsiders to worship, start attending evangelical churches again (and maybe for the first time) where they can hear the Gospel, respond to strong-Biblical teaching, grow in Grace and join the local church. Being careful to teach and preach correctly. (Colossians 2:8)

To the edification of the church, the encouragement of the saints, the redemption of the lost and the awaiting of The Lord. (I Thessalonians 5:2)
